Can somebody tell me if there is a way to use a single criteria table but for use with multiple criterion that allows for extraction?

Macro?- rearrange spreadsheet data

I spend a great amount of time manually manipulating a spreadsheet that I work with. The spreadsheet lists tasks and under each task, there can be no BizOwner or there can be multiple BizOwners. Is there a way to get the Biz owners (listed directly under each task) to instead list in columns next to each task?

I have attached a sample file and then I have attached a desired file of what I would really like.

need help with importing data from another worksheet

i am compiling a customer template for product purchases. i have made 2 worksheets 1 for customers and one for products.
i need someone to put in drop list so when i enter products in customers i have a list from the second sheet?
also would like product description to auto fill when i do this.
i am new to this so all help is greatly appreciated.

Editing a table that is related to ranges

The attached file includes a table that includes 2 sheets. The first sheet includes ranges. The second one includes drop down list realted to these ranges. I just wanted to know how to edit in this table or to fill out the data in the table.

Example:
The customer base in Suez is 15%. NPS is 12%. Market share is 47%
The customer base in Cairo is 85%. NPS is 42%. Market share is 87%

How can I put these inputs into the table where when I choose Cairo form the drop down menue these details "The customer base in Suez is 15%. NPS is 12%. Market share is 47%" appear to me.

Creating a compliacated table

Hello All

I would like to make a table to compare between the following:

3 telecom operators: Operator 1, Operator2 and Operator 3

In terms of the following: Customer Satisfaction, Market Share, NPS and Customer Base.

In 3 cities: Cairo, Alexandria, Giza

How can I design a table including all of these data?

Note: the customer staisfaction includes the following: coverage, quality of netoworks, easiness.

I expect that what I mentioed made my query not clear enough.

hi,
cells c1:c100 each contain a name, cells d1:d100 contain a specific number for each name.
i want be able to type a name into cell a:1 and get it's number in cell b:1 and also be able to type a number into cell b:1 and get it's name in cell a:1.
It would be useful if the name could be typed in in either lower or upper case and still work. cells c1:c100 and d1:d100 also need to be hidden. am using windows 8.

Identify Matching Test

Column “C” contains the authors and their affiliations for each paper (462 papers). The authors(s) for each affiliated organization are included within brackets just before the name of the organization.

Column A contains the last names of all authors of all organizations participated in publishing the 462 papers listed in Column C

The question:
I need to identify those authors listed in column “A” that are affiliated with “King Saud Univ” per column “C”.
Maybe by indicating True or False in Column "B" next to each author.

Basic question on questionnaire generator

I'm new to this forum and also kind of new to VBA. I hope my question isn't to "basic" and you would like to help me. I'm keen on getting insight on how to work with VBA and learn more!

My problem is:

We have a questionnaire, which is devided into several parts. I want to have a tool which produces (or generates ;)) a questionnaire which is based on the previous selection of parts.

Hide/Unhide specific cells using data validation list

Dear Excel experts,

Query: I need to set up a VBA that whenever I select data from C1 - validation list 'All, Jan, Feb, March & Apr' to show only specific rows as follows:

1) "All" to show cells range A6:G20
2) "Jan" to show cells range A6:G9 and hide A10:G20
3) "Feb" to show cells range A10:G13 and hide A6:G9 & A14:G17
4) "March" to show A14:G17 and hide A6:G13 and A18:G20
5) "Apr" to show A18:G20 and hide A6:G17

Excel Macro Help needed urgently

I need a help and want to do this with macro

• From the “Functional Sheet” Go to “Description column and Copy first “SIS Line 2”.
• Go to tab “Data Element” Search for it in “Description column” and in which so ever row the match is found
• “Traceability Tracefrom” column of Data element sheet gets populated with functional sheet “ID” column corresponding to “SIS Line 2” which we copied that is “UW-F1” with Alt + Enter if more than one are there in one row
• Similarly for rest of the rows that is SIS Line 2,3,4 etc SS line 1,2,3 etc, O line 1,2 etc

import Multiple Text Files into one EXCEL worksheet

I need to import 1500 files into one excel worksheet. The text files are in folder that is name of the language (e.g en for English). Now what i intent to do is to make appear my language name in one column under heading language name(that's folder name, will be repeated 1500 times) and language text in next column. My text files has either one sentence or either a paragraph. I don't want it to be in different columns. I tried a piece of code from this forum it helped a lotbut text appears scattered.

Using checkboxes to send email to multiple recipients with snapshot.

I have a workbook with a summary form identifying certain changes that have been made to the content. I have checkboxes linked to cells that contain email addresses. I also have a code for lotus notes that will launch email and take a snapshot of a certain range of cells. What I can't figure out is the code to select the email addresses (true) that are tied to the checked boxes and insert them into the sendto line. Help... =)

Formatting datetime or extracting datetime from a text value

Hello,
I imported a .txt file into excel. It has a datetime value (eg:18-05-2013 09:16:22 PM) which has is formatted as general. I want to convert this to a proper datetime format so that I can use this to find the difference from another datetime value.
How do I do this ? I tried Datevalue but it doesn't help. I also tried to split this into date and time separately using LEFT and RIGHT functions but the results are still in text and I cannot use this to subtract from the other date.

Help needed with a function

I am wondering if it is possible to have a cell populate itself with a number that equates to the number of rows that are being filled in. For example, I have a table that my team need to fill with different sets of data (date, account name, contract value, etc), and each row represents a bid that they have done in that month. I am interested in having a cell (below the table) that will automatically populate itself with a number that will equate to the number of rows that have been filled in. That way I know how many bids they've done that month.

Any ideas?

I am really confused about what to use for this data.I have included the instructions for the task as well.Any help would be appreciated.
i cant upload a sample output right now,i ll try to explain as well as i can.
the aim is to automate the calculations that are required to fill the light green fields in sheet 3.
for example if I enter the name of my trainer against his trainer id in sheet 2..based on the data from sheet 1 the calculations have to be made and the fields in sheeyt 3 have to be filled.

Recover an unsaved excel file

Could anyone help me to recover my data which I working half way and the excel 2003 application hung/not responding. So, I have to end task to quite the file.

Move data from ascending rows to columns

Good day! I have a data base of 'contacts' that includes "name" "title", "location", "address 1", "address 2", "phone" and "email" all listed in column "A" line by line. each "contact" is separated by one line.

I want to move each of the data points in each "contact" to be displayed in columns across the page. I wan to do so in an automated way not one by one.

Any assistance is appreciated.

VBA code for Update links, Break links and Save as

I have a folder with approx. 40 ppt files. The ppt files are full of linked objects from several Excel files.
What I need is a macro which will do the followings:

-update all the links in all the ppts
-then break all the links
-then save as all the ppts under the same names, but in a distinct folder within the initial one.

Excel 2013 PivotTable Fields Range References

Dear Excel Experts,

I have a question concerning pivot tables added to the data model in Excel 2013.

Somehow I managed that one (PivotTable fields) range refers to three different tables in three different worksheets of the same workbook. But I don’t know anymore how I came to this result.

All other attempts produced ranges that refer to only one table.

I have been looking for seven hours in the internet and in my Excel books. And didn’t find any answer.

Can you explain to me how I produce a range that refers to three different tables in three different worksheets?

Totals in a range

I'm relatively new to excel, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a row of numbers with a total:

A1 = 100
A2 = 100
A3 = 100
A4 = 100

A5 Total = 400

What I would like to do is to be able to delete a cell or cells (let's say A1) and have that difference spread evenly to the other cells, all the while keeping the same total. So the new numbers would be:

A1 = 0
A2 = 133.33
A3 = 133.33
A4 = 133.33

A5 Total = 400

data redirection from one Excel sheet towards another one with a macro

Dear all,

I have some trouble with an Excel macro. I could find the command to get data from one sheet (sheet 1) to paste them to another one (sheet 2) to do so cell by cell. Now, I would like to write a loop to make it automatic on all the data of my sheet 1 (which are all in one single column) so that all these data are put into my sheet 2 but in one single row and only in one out of three cells. Here attached is a simple example of what I want to do with this macro.

If someone can help me with an example it would be very nice of you.

Sub Array formula that filters lists on multiple sheets

Can anyone help on Sheet 1 I would like to enter a title and then I would like the rows that are "x" from each title to return the information in column A & B. i have played with match index formulas but cannot get it to work. See attached sample thanks!
