So you want to become a Microsoft Excel MVP ?

Well, there's no exact formula to this journey but I might be able to offer a few tips on things that will help your case. Becoming a Microsoft Excel MVP is about being an expert in Excel, volunteering your expertise, and being known for your contribution. You cannot apply for this award, and you need simply to be recognised.

Here are a few things that might help to get you noticed:

Dos:

• The best way to get recognised is to do something different, and then tell everyone about it.
• Set up a Blog
• Get websites to showcase your work
• Record videos
• Create systems
• Create tips
• Most importantly, contribute to Unanswered Forum Questions with your expertise. You don't need to be the best but if you do your research, you can help people out and they will be thankful of that 
• Subscribe to a Twitter Feed....  read it, and contribute to it..
• Setup webinars to share your expertise
• Do lectures at local universities or schools

Don't:

• Don't be upset if you don't get recognised... There are many others out there who will feel the same. Keep plugging away.
• Don't give up... there are no short cuts, and you need to be in it for the long haul
