csv file custom merge

I am working with a digital photo inventory system: Slabsmith. I would like to custom merge with an Excel file on a weekly basis. I would like some of the fields from Slabsmith placed before some of the fields in Excel, make calculations based on Slabsmith data, and then have more Excel fields placed after the Slabsmith data. How would this custom merge be done? Thanks for your time.

I would use import/link .csv data to Excel and then add Excel fields with calculations. When your data changes on a weekly basis, data in Excel will be updated, and Excel cells with formulas as well.
