68. Excel Tips - Separate Text

This tip shows you a quick and easy way to separate text without using formulae. Suppose we have the following data:
and we want this:
Steps:
- Select the range containing the data
- Select the Data ribbon
- Text to columns
- Choose Delimited
- Press Next
- Choose: Space, and in Other, type: /
- Click Finish
This data will now be split... You can choose whatever delimiter you want... in this case we chose "/" and space, but it can be any character.
