How to set up a working date function

Hello,

My name is Carl Brooks and I am a sales manager for Audi in the UK. I am not a programmer so I hope I come to the right place but I want some help on a spreadsheet I have got. I have a spreadsheet which the company users to keep track of Eoh (End of Honeymoon Calls) and Brochure data.

If you open up the spreadsheet and enable macros, you will see that under columns U and V that there is a "show" and "hide" button for EoH and Brochure. Click on "show" button and on left hand side it displays 3 tables. The only ones that are relevant for us is the middle and right table (EoH Manual Entry and Brochure Manual Entry). On these tables simply the user enters in the figures manually in these tables. But what I want which will be beneficial for anyone using this is that I want to keep track of the manual entries for the relvant days. So for example today 14th November 2013, if I enter in the figures manually for EoH Manual and Brochure Manual, then tomorrow I have to wipe it off because it is a new day, we lost data for 14th November.

So what I am asking is if a VB and Excel specialist is able to help our company out and fix the spreadsheet to solve this issue by following the requirements I have made up below:

1: under the brochure table set up a date drop down list (like the one on top of spreadsheet between Cells B to D and I to K, but will only need one date.

2: The user will use the date function under the brochure table to select the day to output the correct figures in the Eoh Manual and Brochure Manual tables. If date function is blank then this is automatically today's date.

3: Set a Today button next to date function so that if clicked on, then the date format is blank which means it is outputting the figures in the EOH Manual and Brochure Manual tables for the current day (There is a today button for the Cumulative EoH table under the Show button you clicked on first so I am assuming that, that code may be copied and changed a little to make this today button work as well but I am not a programmer so I am not sure.

These are really the requirements, I set a day using date funtion and enter in figure manually for EOH Manual and Brochure Manual, if I change date then it will display figures for that particular date. If I go back to the first date chosen, I have not lost any figures which I entered, it is still there.

Can somebody please do me a big favour on this asap. Like I said I am not a programmer but do need a reliable spreadsheet by meeting the above requirements. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Carl
