formula for a.dateHello there i have a.spreadsheet with a order date in one cell, i would like that cell to change colour when the current date has passed the order date by 5 days, i have tried several ways to do this but i am missing something and would like help from the forum |

Conditional formatting
Hi I think what you need is conditional formatting in conjunction with the today function.
Firstly put =Today() in cell A1.
Then select the column you want to format and find the 'Conditional Formatting' drop down on the home tab.
Select the 'Highlight Cell Rules' from the drop down and select 'Greater Than' option.
In the left box enter $A$1+5. Referencing todays date plus 5 days. In the right box select the colour you want it to turn.
