Filtering issue

I am working with a spreadsheet and have filters set up on each column. I also have several columns hidden. When I filter on a column, the data in the hidden columns is getting out of sync with the rest of the spreadsheet. There doesn't seem to be any consistency with the data getting out of sync. There are over 75,000 rows of data on the spreadsheet and I am using Excel 2003. Some of the columns within the spreadsheet contain blank data. Can you offer any assistance on why this is doing this and how I can fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Excel 2003 can have a maximum of 65536 rows and you are saying 75000 rows of data....?

Hi - yes, it is a very large spreadsheet - there are also about 30 columns, but I need to filter and sort the data on only a few of the columns. If there is a limit in 2003, this may be why my data is getting corrupted. But short of creating separate spreadsheets and splitting out the data into smaller chunks, then having to merge the data back together, do you know of any other way to fix the problem? Thanks for the assistance.

May be you are working on a file created with Excel 2007 (in that format only). Try opening the file in Excel 2007 (if you have) and filter or try exporting the data in Access.

Before filtering sort the data.
