I am writing simple codes in VBA to demonstrate capabilities of EXCEL for a Project in School. For example Restart/Shutdown/Lock/open applications/send mail etc.

I am stuck with detecting the monitor status. I want to display a message when monitor is Switched ON manually.

The closest I have been to the solution is this : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd376784 but not sure how to use it in VBA. Requesting your help on this or any other solution.

Consider me as a dummy. Most codes I have used so far is by google'ing.
