Excel error window: file cannot be accessed.
Hello everyone.
I`m using Win 7 and ms Office 2007. I saved some Excel files on my pc (.xls). It worked, everything was ok until now. Today I can`t open it. It is became corrupted somehow and i`m in a deep upset. An error message appeared: .xls file cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only or you may be trying to access a read-only location, or the server the doc is stored on may not be responding. I'm searching a quick but effective method to fix this problem. Is there anyone who can help me?

At first make sure that your files are really read-only. You can see it in Properties - the Attribute setting.
You can try open it in WordPad, OpenOffice and another similar program. If it works, then you save the data from your file. Not bad result.
